Alstom's flexible portfolio of zero-emission autonomy solutions using hydrogen and battery technology has also been developed for non-electrified rail lines.
Zero emission technology is an approach to production and operation that does not release harmful substances or pollutants into the environment. Such technologies can be implemented in various sectors, including industry, energy, transport, etc.
One example of such technology is the use of renewable energy sources such as solar and wind energy, instead of traditional energy sources such as coal and oil, which, when burned, release carbon dioxide and other harmful substances into the atmosphere.
Another example is the use of recycling processes that extract valuable materials and energy from waste instead of sending it to landfill or incineration, which results in emissions of harmful substances into the atmosphere.
Zero-emission technologies have many benefits, including reduced environmental impact, reduced pollution cleanup costs, and improved production efficiency. However, their implementation may require significant financial and technical resources.
